Our suite of systems for IDNOs are described in more detail below:
Infinity is our core system for IDNOs to manage MPANs and billing electricity suppliers. It is a cloud based system that allows the life cycle of MPANs to be managed, from MPAN creation, initial energisation, updating MPAN details, maintaining the priority service register, billing Suppliers to disconnection.
Infinity allows billing for Non-Half Hourly and Half Hourly customers and is capable of billing Central Volume Allocation (CVA) and Supplier Volume Allocation (SVA) customers.
Infinity also allows the management of dataflows relevant for IDNOs.
Infinity has been designed as a scalable system with a user-friendly interface and is hosted on Google Cloud ensuring a high level of cyber security.
EMIT is our flexible market interface tool. IDNOs need to be able to communicate with multiple data sources and EMIT manages all these interactions within one system. It has passed qualification with the Industry Codes and supports all existing adapters. We are currently integrating a DIP adapter into EMIT to support qualification for our clients under the Market Wide Half Hourly Settlement programme.
With Market-wide Half-Hourly Settlement implementation, UK electricity industry is going through one of the biggest changes in decades. EPTECH has been working with the MHHS programme since very beginning, designing solutions and updating business processes in our systems so our clients can remain fully compliant and seamlessly transition to the new operating model.
The DIP is the new message orientated event-driven middleware component that will support the flow of events and messages between industry participants. EPTECH has built solutions which can help UK DNOs and IDNOs suppliers integrate with DIP securely and be fully regulatory compliant.
MPRS is the registration service provided by St Clements services that links MPANs to suppliers. IDNOs have licence obligation to ensure MPANs are registered to an electricity supplier and to switch MPANs to a new supplier. All market participants use MPRS, but can choose who hosts it. EPTECH provides a hosting service, including managing and processing updates to MPRS.
UNITY is a new system developed by EPTECH to assist IDNOs in providing the Unmetered Supplies Operator (UMSO) role. UNITY has been developed in collaboration with Power Data Associates (PDA) who are owned by IMServ. PDA are experts in managing unmetered supplies inventories and MPANs and provide a managed service to operate UNITY on behalf of IDNOs.
EPTECH offer a comprehensive BPO service. We can cover as little or as much as our IDNOs would like to outsource. This ranges from creating and managing MPANS up to billing, managing market domain data and creating the annual schedule of charges templates.
